How can you use your “superpowers” to help make the world a better place?
The concept of “Altruistic Innovation” is two-fold.
First, at Innov8tive Minds, we think that every company implementing new technology into their own products and services should consider how this innovation might help make the world a better place. That is, be proactively altruistic.
Consider how the application of your technology and data could create a positive environmental impact, increase healthy living, make social improvements, and generate higher levels of diversity, for instance. These outcomes would not only help your company and your customers, but with little effort, you could become a superhero making a better future for everyone.
Second, there are lots of innovative ideas being generated all over the world. How can we identify these and share them for all (including the planet!) to benefit?
One underutilised segment is impoverished and deprived regions. Whether these are in underdeveloped countries or the heart of major urban cities, we often see amazing innovation resulting from a desperate need to rapidly and cost-effectively create a solution to a serious problem. Creativity and invention can be found in the most challenging of environments.
How can we identify these ideas and see if they can be applied and expanded around the world? This is about connecting people with those who create and those who can scale – and helping make this expansion happen.
We all have networks that can be engaged to make these life-changing transformations occur.
One simple, small connection might be all it takes to make a huge difference.
